Medical Emergencies

Tadpoles Tactics provides professional training and issue certificates for the treatment of advanced medical emergencies through two different international networks:

1) DAN Divers Alert Network

Internationally recognised and most respected First Aid Certification in the industry.

DAN courses are developed by a team of Medical and Educational Specialists: DAN courses are specialised First Aid courses, the skills and techniques are not just a small part of another course. The students get enough theory and practise time to ensure that they finish the course having gained the confidence to act fast and efficiently in case of emergency.

It is for this reason that professional Law Enforcement, Healthcare Professionals and Rescue Teams have chosen DAN Training. Amongst these Professionals are:

  • Several European Fire Brigades
  • Italian Coast Guard
  • Finnish Boarder Guard
  • European Police teams
  • Italian Red Cross
  • Slovenian Army
  • Italian Carabinieri and other European armed forces

DAN Courses are also used by some Medical Universities and High Schools such as in Spain and Belgium as a part of some educational programs or Masters. They are not the only ones that have chosen DAN Courses: many Dive & Life Saving Organisations prefer to work with DAN for their medical/First Aid Courses. DAN courses are also recognised / accredited by many organisations and institutions.

Tadpoles Tactics and DAN Instructor Jacopo Guarino can certify as "provider" for the following specific courses of advanced medical first aid:

  • BLS - Basic Life Support: Basic Life Support, or BLS, includes airway management skills such as the log roll and recovery position, one rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation and additional skills like caring for a choking patient, controlling bleeding and caring for a patient in shock.
  • Automated External Defibrillation (AED): This course teaches to provide care for sudden cardiac arrest including the use of an automated external defibrillator (AEDs).
  • Oxygen First Aid: The DAN Oxygen Provider Course provides entry-level training in the recognition and management of possible injuries using emergency oxygen first aid.
  • Advanced Oxygen First Aid: This advanced-level program is designed to train existing DAN Oxygen Providers to use the MTV-100 or a Bag Valve Mask while providing care.
